INSURANCE PACK OUT & CONTENTS CLEANING - FIRE, SMOKE & WATER DAMAGE SERVICES

A pack out is the process of removing your belongings from a damaged home so restoration work can begin. It's a standard part of most insurance claims involving fire, smoke, water, or mold damage.

Restoration contractors can't work around your furniture. Your belongings can't sit in a home with smoke residue or moisture. And your insurance carrier needs documentation of what was in the home and what condition it was in.

Common situations that require a pack out:

Fire Damage: Smoke and soot penetrate fabric, wood, and porous surfaces throughout the home

Water Damage: Burst pipes, roof leaks, or flooding that requires drying and repair

Smoke Damage: Odor and residue affecting contents even where flames never reached

Mold Remediation: Contents removed so affected areas can be treated safely

Storm Damage: Wind, rain, or structural damage requiring extensive repair

Extended Repairs: Any restoration project where the home will be unlivable for weeks or months

We've been moving Southern California families for years. A pack out is a move with more documentation and more care.

Documentation First

Insurance claims live or die on documentation. Before anything is touched, we inventory what's in the home — room by room, item by item — with photographs and written records. That inventory is what your carrier uses to process your claim.

What sets our pack out service apart:

✓ Detailed Inventory: Every item documented, photographed, and recorded before it leaves the home

✓ Careful Packing: Professional materials and techniques appropriate to the damage type

✓ Secure Storage: Your belongings held in our storage facility for as long as repairs take

✓ Contents Cleaning: Furniture and household goods cleaned before they come back

✓ Carrier Coordination: We provide documentation your adjuster needs, in the format they expect

✓ Single Point of Contact: One company handles pack out, storage, cleaning, and pack back

Complete Contents Inventory
Room-by-room documentation of every item leaving the home, with photographs and condition notes. Your copy, your adjuster's copy, our copy.

Professional Packing
We pack with materials appropriate to the situation. Contents affected by smoke or water are handled differently than a standard move to avoid cross-contamination and further damage.

Transport & Secure Storage
Your belongings move to our storage facility and stay there for the duration of repairs. Flexible terms, because restoration timelines change.

Contents Cleaning
Furniture, household goods, and salvageable items are cleaned before they return to your home. Smoke odor and residue removal where applicable.

Total Loss Inventory
When items can't be salvaged, we document them thoroughly for your claim. A detailed loss inventory is often the difference between a partial settlement and a full one.

Pack Back & Placement
When your home is ready, we bring everything back and place it where it belongs. Furniture positioned, boxes unpacked if you want them unpacked.

What Homeowners Should Know

Most homeowners have never been through a pack out and don't know what to expect. A few things worth understanding:

Your policy likely covers this. Pack out, storage, and contents cleaning are typically covered under the contents portion of a homeowner's policy. Ask your adjuster directly.

Documentation protects you. The more thorough the inventory, the smoother the claim. Items that aren't documented are items that don't get reimbursed.

Storage duration is unpredictable. Restoration projects run long. We don't lock you into a fixed term.

You should keep certain things with you. Medications, important documents, valuables, and anything you'll need in the next few weeks should stay with you rather than going to storage.

Everything moves to our secure storage facility. You receive a complete copy of the inventory.

Cleaning
Salvageable furniture and household goods are cleaned while in storage, so they're ready when your home is.

Pack Back
